The story so far ....

Well.... This is pretty much a new arena for me :- Writing!!!!! Let me start, telling you my perceptions on myself. I'm usually labeled with quite a lot of adjectives by people around. Probably, the face that i depict is not quite static. More than anything, I'm a person standing on the fence, bordering introversion and extroversion. Well, now i guess you would start preparing a collar for me, named "The Confuser"!!! Keep that aside!

The Extrovert in me, is a mask, worn at the backside of my head!!!! Visualizing??? Its probably a face that I put up to the light, to handle some insignificant talks!!! Humor, good or bad, shall be your fastest perception on me !!!! But i think , from within, I enjoy being the Introvert. The Introvert in me, is more thoughtful and patient, calm and silent, clear and De-mystified. Being so, I prioritize my options on a static time line and be more meditative on my approaches, a lot though !!

One thing , when missed, shall put me in a web of sins. Rather, a state of guilt for not realizing the one, that shaped my personality altogether. Well, its none other than Mr.MUSIC!!!! Well, this is one freaking wand, that weaved magic in me and making my foolish past, a mere illusion. Not to neglect, credits to the brave mind that has been sculpted right from birth !!!!

I started learning Classical vocal music from Smt. Sudha Ranganathan wen I was at around 7 years of age. Though i was a very lethargic and playful learner, my Guru had perceived some positive things too. I started exhibiting some healthy musical qualities such as keen ears, quick grasping of nuances etc. From here, my Guru had built the ladder for me. She poured loads of encouragement, thereby sharpening my skills. This helped me perform many early concerts. But however, i continued to be lethargic. I had to discontinue my formal music training when I was at std 10. You think its over ? Well, it just began here.

After my schooling at National Public school, got into my Engineering course, with aspirations on the same. But destiny had other plans. It slowly started steering my insight , back to the musical arena !!! I started laying my hands on composing music. And as usual, they sounded pretty amateur. However, thanks to my confidence levels and affinity towards music, i did not wanna let it go!

Leaving all the lethargy behind, I resumed classical vocal training from my earlier Guru, this time with a lot of involvement and energy. Also, I started learning the basics of Western classical music from Mr. Balu. A few years of formal vocal training from Smt. Revathy Sridharan and now under Shri P.B. ShriRangachari, who has equally been encouraging me with my music.

From then on, it was no looking back!!! It was music all over my mind, all over my heart..... The growth was slow and steady, and still healthy. At one stage of time, guess it was towards the end of my engineering course, I was able to observe some maturity in my music. That is where i started off doing some projects like short films, jingles, albums etc. And from then on, things have been going well. I now am pretty clear that I'm riding on the right road, hoping that it will take me and my music to meet musical benchmarks.

There were a lot of critics, as u guessed it, they were my closest friends around. Right from my initial amateur stuff, they have delivered constructive criticism and thereby being a great positive force till date.

As a composer, I always have believed that the music i create, should touch the divine soul. Thus, I have always focused on expression. My music should express its emotions, as every human does. There is a language here. And language shall be intolerable without expression. Credits to my classical training and my keen listening to global music, I have been able to grasp the nuances of composing aesthetically acceptable music. I have always received complaints that my compositions are more inclined towards the classical ethics, though they've reduced in number off late.

I would finally wanna say that, loads of credit should go to all the people who supported my Music so far, my gurus, parents, friends, relatives and all the well wishers around. I believe they will continue to support me and I promise i shall justify their trust forever. Well, let me stop here. I believe my music should do more of the talking.

Here in this blog, u can always find me, expressing my significant perceptions, as the time line is rolling. Of course, I will be posting my music here, awaiting valuable feedback from the readers.

Cheers,
Ramshanker
